Presented here is an eye-catching late 1980s Seiko Quartz, featuring an angular octagonal case paired with its original integrated bracelet. The standout feature of this piece is undoubtedly its unique textured centre dial, displaying a mosaic-like finish that catches the light beautifully and gives the watch far more character than a standard champagne dial. Combined with slim baton markers and a discreet date window at 3 o'clock, it perfectly reflects Seiko's distinctive design language of the era.
The watch is powered by its original Seiko Calibre 5930 quartz movement and is currently running and keeping time. Overall, it presents well for its age, with honest signs of wear consistent with over three decades of careful use.
Dial
The original two-tone champagne dial is in good vintage condition. The textured mosaic centre remains the focal point of the watch and contrasts nicely against the brushed outer chapter ring. There is some light age-related spotting within the textured centre, as expected, but this blends naturally into the finish and adds vintage character rather than distracting from the overall appearance.
Case
The gold plated octagonal case remains sharp with well-defined edges. It shows light surface wear and minor plating wear in places, consistent with age, but continues to present extremely well on the wrist.
Crown
The original crown is in good condition and functions correctly in all of its settings.
Movement
This watch houses a quartz movement. It is currently running well and keeping accurate time.
Case Back
The stainless steel case back showcases signs of previous wear and years of use.
Strap
Fitted to its original Seiko gold plated integrated bracelet, which complements the angular case design perfectly. The bracelet shows honest wear throughout but remains in very good condition and wears comfortably on the wrist.
