Presented here is an elegant 1970s Omega De Ville Automatic, showcasing the distinctive rectangular tank case that became a hallmark of the De Ville collection throughout the decade. The standout feature is its beautiful gold linen-effect dial, divided into four brushed quadrants that catch the light differently depending on the angle, giving the watch exceptional depth despite its minimalist design.
Powered by an original Omega automatic movement, this piece combines understated styling with the everyday practicality of self-winding convenience. Finished on a premium black genuine leather strap from North Crown, it makes for a timeless vintage dress watch.
Dial
The original gold linen-effect dial is in excellent vintage condition, retaining its rich colour and attractive brushed finish. The applied Omega logo and De Ville text remain crisp, while the minimalist handset perfectly complements the clean design. There are only very light signs of age visible under close inspection.
Case
The gold-plated rectangular case is in good vintage condition, showing honest wear and light surface marks consistent with age. The plating remains strong overall, with the sharp angular profile of the case still very well preserved.
Crown
The crown is in good condition and operates exactly as it should, allowing the movement to wind smoothly while setting the time without issue.
Movement
Powered by its original Omega automatic movement, the watch is currently running well and keeping good time. As with all vintage automatic Omegas, the movement is renowned for its reliability and smooth operation.
